STEM Spotlight: Dr Ayanna Howard
Dr. Ayanna Howard is a renowned roboticist, entrepreneur, and educator known for her pioneering work in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence. She pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Brown University. Her journey did not stop there as she obtained a Master’s degree and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California.

Throughout her career, Dr. Ayanna Howard has worked with various agencies including the National Science Foundation, Procter and Gamble, NASA, ExxonMobil, Intel, and the Grammy Foundation where she has completed amazing projects. She has also received many awards such as being recognized as one of the 23 most powerful women engineers in the world by Business Insider.
FUN FACT: Dr. Ayanna Howard was a Star Wars fan, which inspired her passion for robotics as a kid.
Dr. Ayanna Howard has made major contributions including co-founding Zyrobotics, a company dedicated to developing educational technologies for children with diverse learning needs. She currently serves as the Chief Technology officer at the company.
