Scholarships

We strive to make our Girls Code the World Programs as accessible as possible, and one of those ways is through scholarships that students can gain access to through teacher nominations.

Why provide scholarships?

A big part of our mission at Girls Code the World is making sure our programming is accessible to all students and families. We know that there are outstanding students out there who are accomplishing major milestones in their academics, in group projects, and outside of the classroom. Because of this, we have developed a scholarship opportunity for teachers to nominate a student who has gone above and beyond to dedicate themselves to science, technology, engineering, and math.

We encourage teachers to specifically consider historically underrepresented and marginalized identities within STEM. We also remind teachers that our curriculum is designated for students aged 8-12 years old.

 Nominate a student.

We offer a limited number of scholarships, but donations and grants allow us to offer even more. Are you a parent? Consider applying directly for a Subsidized Program here instead of asking a teacher to nominate your child.

How are these scholarships funded?

These scholarships are funded by generous donations and grants that organizations/businesses give to Girls Code the World. We wouldn’t be able to deliver this same impact and serve our populations of interest in the same way if it wasn’t for the support of our local communities.
