Jasmin Kainth: Fall 2023 Intern Feature Series

Jasmin Kainth, a student at Central Bucks High School East, served as a Fall 2023 Partnerships Intern for Girls Code the World. Outside of GCTW, she serves as a Research Intern at Baruch S. Blumberg Institute, and is involved in: Student Council, STEM Clubs, Honors Society, and the founder of Study Buddies Club.

Jasmin Kainth joined Girls Code the World because of its mission and the opportunities it provides. As a woman in STEM, she felt it is a duty to promote STEM careers to young women and create a safe place for them to flourish and hone their abilities. GCTW’s values of empowerment, curiosity, and inclusivity deeply resonated with her.

As a Partnerships Intern at Girls Code the World, Jasmin played a critical role in one of our three core values: Empowerment. She built relationships with organizations, companies, resources, and communities. She facilitated how GCTW continues to give back to the world through education and mentorship. Jasmin says that her favorite aspect of her position is that it is very interdisciplinary. She was able to interact and collaborate with different GCTW sectors.

“My internship at Girls Code the World was a great vehicle for building strong professional relationships within the organization and in the community.”

Jasmin shared with us that she learned that work is never done; there is still so much to do to get our message across and break the stigma and conceptions of who belongs in STEM. She says that “GCTW is important because it is an organization that believes in providing girls with the opportunities and resources to choose a STEM career confidently”.
